Quality Inspector/CMM Operator

Location: Powder Springs, GA

Description:

Full Time position available with growing high tech machining company that is ISO 9001/AS9100 registered. This position provides inspection support for machined components: first article, in-processes, final inspection, incoming raw material, and services received from outside vendor.

Duties: 

• Perform inspections using manual and digital gauges
• Program and operate Zeiss Spectrum CMM using Calypso inspection software
• Interpret 2D part prints
• Comparison of parts to 3D CAD models
• Complete, scan, and file all appropriate documentation, inspection records, and non-conforming material reports
• Maintain material lot numbering system for traceability purposes
• Help maintain gauge calibration schedule

Qualifications:

• 3 or more years experience in quality inspection of mechanical components
• Thorough knowledge of GD&T
• Thorough knowledge of metal parts manufacturing operations
• Thorough Knowledge of ISO-9001 quality system, AS9100 a plus
• Working Knowledge of MS word and Excel
• Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work well with other employees
